Very well researched and informative article!!.It seems ONDC will digitalize the entire value chain, standardize operations, promote inclusion of suppliers,enhance efficiencies in logistics and value for consumers and producers..It will create new opportunities and help to remove monopolistic environment.
But govt must ensure confidentiality and privacy of data network. As you rightly say, we need proper data security laws and regulatory scrutiny. Also, the smaller towns ,remote and rural areas must have access to digital commerce. It is a giant leap and step in right direction and may bring bad news to large e commerce companies like Amazon and flip cart!!
The keynote address by Nandan Nilekani was wonderful and his explanation of India's journey of digital transformation and our achievements gives great hope for the future. With people like him as the key driving force of ONDC, it has to be a great success.
